Windows 10 has an Emoji Keyboard

Quick Tip: How to Access the Emoji Keyboard in Windows 10

Did You know Windows 10 includes a hidden Emoji Keyboard?  And that this Emoji Keyboard has a lot of the more popular emojis, including smileys, food, transportation, and celebration emojis?

You can access this hidden keyboard using a keyboard shortcut:

• Press the Windows Key plus the Period Key
  (Note: Use the period key near the "M" key, and NOT the one on the Numpad)
• The Emoji Keyboard will pop-up
• Click on an emoji to insert it.  👌👀
• You can cycle through the emoji "categories" by clicking on the icons at the bottom of the keyboard, similar to the way you cycle through categories on a mobile keyboard.
• The Emoji Keyboard will close after you insert an emoji; press WIN + . to bring it back up.

NOTE: If the Emoji Keyboard does NOT pop-up, make sure you are somewhere you can enter text.  If you just want to see this keyboard, click on the Task Bar, then press WIN + period.  If you are reading a web page and try the shortcut, it probably won't work.  However, if you are reading a web page, and your cursor is active inside a Comment Field, the Emoji Keyboard will pop-up.

Now, you can easily insert emojis in e-mails, Facebook and Twitter posts, documents, etc. just as easily you can insert emojis using a mobile keyboard.  Windows users no longer need suffer from emoji-envy.
